We are proud to share that Billev Pharma East recently participated in the 27th GMP PharmaCongress & GMP PharmaTechnica Expo 2025, held on April 8–9, 2025, at the RheinMain CongressCenter in Wiesbaden, Germany. Attending as a delegate, our colleague Špela Perčič had the opportunity to engage with industry experts, gain valuable insights, and stay updated on the latest developments in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
The PharmaCongress is known for its strong focus on real-world case studies and practical solutions. This premier event brought together leading pharmaceutical professionals to discuss the latest advancements in GMP, manufacturing, and quality assurance—specifically in the fields of Sterile Manufacturing, Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs), Digitalisation & Artificial Intelligence, Medical Cannabis, and Sustainability/Green GMP.
Key topics in the area of sterile manufacturing included aseptic technologies and Annex 1, single-use systems in sterile and biomanufacturing, cleanroom challenges in ongoing operations, and trends in barrier systems and robotics. The discussions focused on the latest EU GMP regulatory updates, risk management, and inspectors’ points of view.
Especially notable were the keynote presentations by Dr. Maite Durrenbach (Sanofi), who spoke about AI-powered quality systems and digital SOPs, and Dr. Ranjita Shegokar Sahoo (DiHeSys), who presented on groundbreaking applications of 3D printing in pharmaceutical production.
For Špela, the congress proved to be a valuable opportunity to connect with international experts, gain fresh insights, and bring home ideas that will contribute to the continued growth of our company.
